 Ngculu has 'done an incredible job'

A former Umkhonto we Sizwe soldier and founding member of its Military Intelligence Unit, James Ngculu has written "the first book" chronicling the history and people behind the ANC's military wing.

Former head of the unit and intelligence minister Ronnie Kasrils said last night c had done "an incredible job of putting this record together .. at a time when there is a full-blooded assault on what the MK had done".

At the launch of The Honour To Serve, Kasrils slammed those he termed "Johnny-come-lately's" who claimed to have been at the forefront of the fight for democracy.

Instead, those honoured inside the book were "patriots, young and old, women and men, who gave of their lives".
