Amid a growing scandal about the KwaZulu-Natal government's donations of highly sought-after Nguni cattle to traditional leaders, parliamentarians, officials and their wives, Zama Ndebele, the wife of Premier S'bu Ndebele, has decided to give her herd back.

Ndebele will also appoint a task team to help the newly appointed MEC for agriculture, Mtholephi Mthimkhulu, sort out the mess the department is in.

This follows the Tribune's expose of the department last week.
