Zimbabwean Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai and his wife were involved in a car crash over the weekend. The MDC leader was injured, but survived. Unfortunately, his wife Susan was not so lucky.

IOL asked readers: "Do you suspect foul play in Morgan Tsvangirai's car crash?"

Of the 723 people who voted in the poll, 79 percent (571 votes) said "Yes"; 18 percent (129 votes) said "No"; and 3 percent (23 votes) said "Who cares?"

  • LL: I have no reason to suspect foul play based on the reports. From what the British govt is saying, it appears like a genuine accident. Death is never pleasant, but formulating conspiracy theories is not helpful either.

  • Negus: It is not enough that Morgan's wife died that conspiracy theories have to take precedent? With all the statements abound about this having been an accident there are still people who continue this myopic "TIA', "what did you expect from African countries" nonsense.
