Harare - Zimbabwe police said they delivered two missing white farmers beaten but alive to a hospital in the Marondera district east of the capital on Sunday.
Stuart Gemmill and Ian Hardie were admitted to the hospital in which three neighbours were also being treated on Sunday after escaping from a cave in which they said they were beaten with whips and steel rods all over their bodies.
"I have never been so frightened in my life," Gemmill said.
The five were abducted and assaulted on Saturday when they tried to go to the aid of neighbour Dave Stevens, an opposition party member who was kidnapped, beaten and killed, allegedly by supporters of President Robert Mugabe's ruling Zanu-PF party.
