SENIOR HTML WEB DESIGNER

We are looking for a bright, energetic self starter to work on one of South Africa's most popular web networks in an exciting high-volume online news environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in re-designing our web news products as part of our new CMS implementation. This is a senior position and the job is based in Johannesburg.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead Web Design for IOL new CMS project
• Interact with project leader
• Participate in workshops
• Participate in project planning sessions
• Create mock-ups
• Build HTML templates using CSS
• Interact with system developers and engineers

EXPERIENCE:
• Solid web design experience (3-4 years)
• Fluent in HTML and CSS. (WCAG compliance)
• Adobe Creative Suite fluency (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, Illustrator)
• Familiarity with Java environment
• Proven JavaScript advantageous
