Boxing enthusiasts from Mdantsane and especially the followers of South Africa's bantamweight champion Simphiwe Vetyeka, must brace themselves for yet another splendid display from their idol when he takes on Luthando Maqolo on Friday night.
This assurance came direct from Vetyeka's manager Mzimase Mnguni on Tuesday. The fight will take place at the Centenary Hall in Port Elizabeth.
"He will continue where he left off. I expect him to continue to show what he is made off," said Mguni, who has produced a number of top local name world beaters in the Eastern Cape.

Vetyeka, with a record of nine wins (five KOs) against a loss, easily outboxed Makeba, 20 (12 stoppages) 4-1, to win the national title on a unanimous points decision in February at Secunda.

Vetyeka's fight against the fifth-ranked Maqolo 12-7-2 (four KOs) from Kings Williams Town will be staged by promoter Mbali Zantsi's Showtime Promotions.
It will be Vetyeka's first defence. The champion should be motivated by his stable-mate Ali Funeka's second round stoppage win over Danile Botman on Saturday night last week.
Funeka retained his national junior lightweight title.
Little is known about Maqolo except that he holds the Eastern Cape title. Maqolo dethroned Mzwandile Zanqa with a sixth round stoppage win in Dimzaba on May 15.
The undercard on Friday night sees the return of former IBF mini-flyweight holder Zolani "Tiger" Petelo.
He will attempt to claw his way back to big time boxing against former SA and IBO bantamweight holder Zolile "Bonecrusher" Mbityi in an eight rounder.
Zantsi, the only female promoter locally, announced that "there will also be two more ladies amateur bouts". - Sapa
