Parking mad
Athletics South Africa House hosted the first meeting of the interim board for ASA yesterday. Journalists were told by security guards to wait in the car park for their briefing with Ray Mali, the caretaker president, because the meeting was "confidential". Hack attack
The briefing with Mali was scheduled for 11.15am, but journalists waited for an hour before Mali and his new friends finished their argument about who would get Leonard Chuene's office. As she pulled up next to one hack, she put her hands around his neck and told him she was "sick of seeing him". We think she was only half joking.

"I must take the entire board to a game," smiled Mali.
No Sir
And, so, on to cricket. There was a great story from The Guardian this week about a man with a pen walking around the TV commentators area. "On the TV schedule for the commentators, for every stint he did it was written 'Sir Geoffrey Boycott' on a piece of the paper. Until a certain former Surrey, Rhodesia and England bowler walked up with a pen and crossed out every 'Sir'. 'The queen has never put a bloody sword on his $%^# shoulder," he said.
