Parking mad

Athletics South Africa House hosted the first meeting of the interim board for ASA yesterday. Journalists were told by security guards to wait in the car park for their briefing with Ray Mali, the caretaker president, because the meeting was "confidential". "On the TV schedule for the commentators, for every stint he did it was written 'Sir Geoffrey Boycott' on a piece of the paper. Until a certain former Surrey, Rhodesia and England bowler walked up with a pen and crossed out every 'Sir'. 'The queen has never put a bloody sword on his $%^# shoulder," he said.
