After months of planning and hard work, the first training phase of the Y-AGE programme has finally come to life.
Various facilities across Gauteng have started training candidates who are ready to take a positive step towards building a bright future for themselves and contributing to an economically sustainable South Africa.
At the beginning of the programme, trainees are introduced to the concept of developing an entrepreneurial mindset.
This starts with them getting an overview of the programme and how it works. They are then briefed on what they can expect to learn and what will be expected from them to successfully complete the programme.
The trainees are expected to internalise the basic principles of communication in occupational learning, this includes skills such as research methods and report writing skills.
This step will help to make the learning process more manageable for the trainees.
The training will take an in-depth look into successful entrepreneurship, what distinguishes successful entrepreneurs from the unsuccessful ones, and how the trainees can improve their own entrepreneurial profile.
The trainees will get advice on how best to identify new business opportunities that will be beneficial to the growth and success of their businesses.
The importance of a business plan will be assessed and in this regard the trainees will be taught the best way to develop a solid business plan which is suitable for their business.
After each module, the trainees will be evaluated on their understanding of the completed unit, remedial assistance will be given to those who have not been successful.
Y-AGE wishes the trainees a fruitful learning experience and we look forward to the growth of entrepreneurship and job creation in South Africa.
