London - One thing’s for sure – if she gets married, the vicar is going to have his work cut out to remember her name.

Uma Thurman has revealed her new daughter’s name is Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson.

But the little girl, now three months old, will be known as the rather more manageable Luna for short.

Her grand title makes her mother’s name, Uma Karuna, look positively ordinary.

A spokesman for the actress said she and her boyfriend, Arpad Busson, found a special meaning in all of the names.

Perhaps the most famous Rosalind is in Shakespeare’s As You Like It.

Her second name, Arusha, is a city in northern Tanzania. The word also means calm, bright and the sun in Sanskrit.

Arkadina may be taken from Irina Arkadina, the doomed character in Anton Chekhov’s play The Seagull – but it’s also rather similar to Busson’s nickname, Arki.

Altalune appears to have been made up, while famous Florences include Florence Nightingale and the Italian city of the same name.

And finally, Luna is the goddess of the moon in Roman mythology.

Thurman, 42, already has a daughter and a son with ex-husband Ethan Hawke, to whom she gave the simpler names Maya Ray and Levon.

French financier Busson, 49, has two sons, Flynn and Cy, with former partner, Elle Macpherson. - Daily Mail
