Oh, behave! The Porn Star Martini is a cool, stylish treat that could leave you a little off the tracks.
Bar manager Luvuyo Twalingca says the drink is prepared by shaking the vodka, liqueur and passion fruit purée in a cocktail shaker then double straining this into a martini glass.
The fun part for me was the “garnishing”. It is a side of passion fruit and a shot of Pongracz champagne. Twalingca advises an “eat, shoot, sip” approach to the Porn Star.
The combination of fruit and bubbly had a tangy taste. The passion fruit was served with a spoon to scoop it. The cocktail itself had a thick texture from the purée.
Twalingca says the drink is popular among the mid-20s set.
“This is not a fine-dining kind of place. It is a relaxed, after-work drink spot,” he says.
Thursdays and Fridays are their most popular afternoons.
There is a smoking room in the bar. They have free wifi.
Sinns is open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to midnight. Happy hour specials are from 4pm to 6pm with 50 percent off selected cocktails. – Wendyl Martin
