One would not normally associate colourful cocktails with an Irish pub, but Sláinte appears to have a few bright treats.
Barman Nick Shepherd makes a Krista, a thick, passion-fruit filled drink.
He makes it by shaking the ingredients and then fine straining the concoction. It is garnished with fresh granadilla and honey, and served in a martini glass.
It tasted fruity, although not with a sharp effect. The pretty presentation makes it more sip-friendly than a drink to gulp.
Shepherd says it is one of the most popular cocktails on the menu.
Sláinte has a long wooden bar. They have stout, Peroni, Carling Black Label and Castle Lager draughts. The bar is a comfy one with seats that have back rests and screens for sports broadcasts.
Smoking is outside and WiFi is free.
