If you can get a table at Rhapsody’s on Green Point’s Main Road on a concert night, well done. The often packed bar serves up a tall combo cocktail called the Miami Vice.

It’s half strawberry daiquiri and half pina colada, made separately in a blender then layered in a tall glass. It will remind you of strawberries and cream. The texture is somewhere between an ice cream and a slush puppy.

Owner Ashley Pahliney says the drink is a popular sundowner. The restaurant has exposed old brick walls with slick transparent chairs, a grill island and a long, modern-looking bar.

Rhapsody’s is in a prime location across the street from Cape Town Stadium. With a few concerts coming up, make a booking for your crawl up the fan walk. There is parking in Main Road.

The bar opens from 10am and is licensed until 2am. Sushi and cocktails are half-price from 4pm until 7pm.

No under-23s are allowed after 7pm and the dress code is smart casual. – Weekend Argus
