So, are you depressed, she asked.
There's an old idea that drinking gin makes you sad - but no sadness was evident at the recent inaugural gin & tonic festival in Woodstock.
We had to fit in a visit around other social commitments and so only had time to sample two of the gins on offer at the various stands.
The festival featured micro South African distilleries and some household international producers. We tasted two offerings from the Triple Three Estate Distillery and had a full-on Botanicals G&T.
Both were gorgeous - and we really wished we had been able to get there earlier.
