Johannesburg - The Mzanzi International Culinary Festival (MiCF) is set to return to Johannesburg for a third consecutive year.

As part of Africa month, MiCF 2016 will play host to leading chefs from the continent.

Organiser Chef Nompumelelo Mqwebu has secured two Michelin Star chefs who will demonstrate their culinary skills: Caribbean Chef Jason Howard and French Chef Chrisophe Serge Stéphane Moisand. Moisand is accompanied by Kenyan Chef Rose Owiyo Oyugi Soula and a New York based Senegalese celebrity Chef Pierre Thiam.

The festival will take place at the Tinswalo Waterfall Estate boutique hotel on May 28 and 29, 2016.

Mqwebu, Director of Africa Meets Europe Cuisine and founder of the festival said, “Through MiCF and our partners DAC, Miele and the National Department of Tourism we continue to unite people through food and culture.”

 

Visitors will be able to meet local producers and taste meals cooked by cooks from Venda, Pedi, Cape Malay, Indian and San heritages.
