Durban - Chef Shaun Smith says it takes lots of hard work and dedication to become a chef.
“There are no shortcuts. Some people ask, ‘Can I have a crash course in cheffing?’. There is no real crash course unless you want to crash and burn. And we don’t like burn, so no crash, no burn”.
Smith, together with his wife, has opened up another full time cooking school above their Fusion restaurant in Silvervause Centre in Musgrave, Durban.
Fusion boasts a 4.5 star rating and Smith has been a regional chef for Woolworths, executive chef of a conference centre with a Thai feel, a personal chef and much more.
The launch will take place on March 11 at the new cooking school premises.
