It’s beginning to taste a lot like Christmas and the flavour is all in one burger.

Christmas came early at Gibson’s this year after the restaurant won the Savanna Best Burger Eatery award in the Western Cape at the 2016 Eat Out Mercedes Benz best everyday eateries competition.

While a burger is perhaps the last thing that comes to mind when planning your Christmas feast, but in the words of restaurant manager Cristian Neagu, “this definitely could be the new thing”.

“We took one of the cheese burgers and added stuffing and cranberry sauce to give it the Christmas vibe,” Neagu says.

Sticking with the festive colours, the Christmas burger consists of the signature Gibson’s patty with cheese and caramelised onion, topped with their special sage and onion stuffing, smothered in cranberry sauce with a portion potato or sweet potato fries.

Gibson's will be open on Christmas Day and their new burger will be available until January.
