As National Braai Day approaches and you begin to plan your party, Cyber Cellar has you covered in the drinks department.

South Africa is world renowned for our love of a good braai and it is well known that on any given weekend, braais are lit, the guys are cheering on their favourite rugby team and family and friends gather around to clink glasses over the fire.

September brings around even more excuse for South Africans to light that fire with Heritage Day, fondly referred to as National Braai Day, falling on the 24th September 2016.

Below is a list of the best easy drinking wines to suit any palate on the warm spring day as the smell of fire and boerewors fills the air.

1. Tierhoek Chenin Blanc

Let's start with a white wine which is crisp and delicious, and goes beautifully with both red or white meats.

This Platter 4 star is great value for its price of R95 and brings all the delicious elements of a great Chenin into one bottle.

It possesses mineral characters that sparkle with steely intensity alongside ripe stone fruit flavours and a spicy oak palate that pairs perfectly with both chicken on the braai and that staple potato salad.

This Pinot Noir is an easy drinking favourite.

Brought to you by the much loved Iona estate which certainly never fails to disappoint, this wine is a must-have next to the fire. Expect fresh berries, cherries and delicious forest floor notes on the nose.

This introduction is not let down by the palate as the sweet cherry flavours are simply backed up by an added depth of spicy tones and a full body of flavour. This tasty and moreish wine will compliment any meat on the braai, but goes especially well with steaks and lamb chops.

Get your bottle for the great price of R135.

Are you perhaps having a fish braai and are looking for the perfect wine to complement it? Look no further!

Created by the Bruwer family at Springfield for this purpose, this perfect blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Pinot Gris, was created to pair perfectly with any fish dish.

If you are thinking of Snoek on the braai, this wine explodes with grapefruit on the nose, followed by added melon on the palate. It is crisp, citrusy and an absolute must-have for only R109.

No braai is really complete without some bubbles, and an easy drinking, light sparkling wine is definitely the way to go while preparing the salads or standing next to the fire.

This light, bubbly Sauvignon Blanc is the perfect fun, fresh and crisp layer of bubbles that you can pair with both fish, chicken and salad.

You can expect both a nose and palate of fig, guava and passion fruit and is the perfect fit for the sunny, warm braai day next to the pool. Make sure you get your bottle for the great low price of R110.

An easy drinking, light red blend is usually very hard to come by, but this is the real deal.

Its great low price means that it is also great value for money and it is the perfect answer for next to the braai. This Shiraz dominated wine has a wide range of notes from red fruits to spice, pepper and smoke.

On the palate, it is smooth, delicate and beautifully drinkable. For R89 a bottle, you simply cannot go wrong.

6. De Grendel Rosé

If you are looking for a smooth, juicy pink wine, at R65, you cannot go wrong with the De Grendel Rosé.

With its strawberry and watermelon nose, the palate kicks in with strawberries and is backed up by a lovely zest with a dry drinkability.

Serve this blend of Pinotage and Cabernet Sauvignon crisp and chilled.
