Hollywood actress has taken to Instagram to respond to haters who objected to her being considered for the role of the iconic toy.
The 35 year old, uploaded a picture of herself in a swimsuit, she wrote she's "proud to lead by example and very honoured to play an important and evolving icon"
She ended the post with, "I say if I'm strong. You will not determine my story. I will"

This response comes after it was revealed on Friday that the comedian will star in the Barbie film, and it didn't take long for Internet trolls to call her 'fat' and 'obese' and claim she 'better lose a lot of weight for that role'.

Sony's live action film based on the beloved Mattel toy is due out in 2018 and will be set in Barbieland, a world inhabited by the many different versions of the doll.
She then goes on an adventure in the real world, before returning to save her hometown, armed with the knowledge that real beauty is on the inside.
