London - Isn’t it depressing leaving a hotel after a glorious stay with nothing to show for it but a miniature shampoo set?

A new website, discover-deliver.com, has spotted a brilliant niche in the market. The site, launched in March, puts together the most sought-after furniture, lighting, tableware and accessories from the world’s best-designed hotels, restaurants and bars for you to buy direct from the original manufacturers.

So if, during a stay at the Hotel Missoni in Edinburgh or the Smyth TriBeCa in New York, you sit on a particularly comfy chair or flick the switch of an especially illuminating lamp, a few clicks later it can be found, purchased and delivered.

The website has more than 100 hotels and restaurants across more than 20 destinations and you can search by object, place or designer.

Even better, if your budget doesn’t stretch to a stay at W Barcelona or Shanghai’s The Waterhouse, you can still browse through their insides, inspecting each piece of furniture in situ as well as in a stand-alone picture.

It’s like looking through a rather expensive keyhole at pieces with price tags still attached.

There’s also a “find it” service which, for £25, lets customers send details of must-have items from other hotels for the online team to track down.

Set aside a few happy hours to browse some of the most exciting interiors from the world’s foremost places to stay. - Daily Mail
