GWEN Stefani ended her 13-year marriage after discovering her rocker husband had cheated on her with their nanny, it has been claimed.
Gavin Rossdale is said to have had a three-year affair behind his pop star wife’s back – and while she was pregnant with their youngest child.
One of the couple’s other nannies allegedly found explicit texts and nude photos of Mindy Mann on the family’s iPad and showed them to Miss Stefani. Miss Mann was tasked with caring for the couple’s three sons, Kingston, nine, Zuma, seven, and 20-month-old Apollo.
The latest issue of Us Weekly magazine claims that Miss Mann was fired despite 50-year-old Rossdale, the frontman of British rock band Bush, insisting the exchange was simply ‘flirtation’.
When he finally confessed to the affair in February, Miss Stefani, lead singer of band No Doubt, made the decision to end their marriage.
A source told the magazine the admission ‘completely devastated her’ and that ‘she was mortified, livid, and embarrassed’. Their divorce was finalised last month.
Website TMZ claims Miss Stefani, 46, is not planning on providing Rossdale with spousal support, saying they did not sign a prenuptial agreement before marrying in 2002. Under California law in those circumstances, their combined wealth could be split 50/50.
Miss Stefani is said to be worth around £53 million and Rossdale £23 million.
This week she revealed that the end of her marriage had been ‘unexpected’. She added: ‘I was going along thinking that was going to be the rest of my life and it’s not. I don’t know what happened.’
Representatives for Miss Stefani and Rossdale did not respond to a request for comment on Wednesday.
