London - Astrologers generally agree that if you really want a cosmic climate conducive to romance, love and affection, nothing is quite so effective as a comet.

Next year brings two such mysterious visitors from afar, capturing our imaginations and firing up our hearts. The first is due in March, the second in October and both should prove bright enough to be seen in broad daylight.

Even if they fail to live up to astronomers’ expectations, we’ll be under the influence of a set of rare cosmic right angles from Pluto to Uranus all year long (astrologers see alignments from the viewpoint of Earth. Therefore, if you’re looking in the direction of the planet Uranus, Pluto will be at 90 degrees).

These ‘squares’ are due to occur seven times between 2012 and 2015, but it will be another 70 years or so before our lives are touched in quite this way again.

They have one message for the whole of humanity - that it’s time to wake up and move beyond the shadowy world of fearful compromise that many of us have been trapped in, and to start reaching our true emotional and creative potential.
