Johannesburg - This year's Sexpo is bringing the Rio Carnival to Joburg, but the organisers are making it a lot sexier.
From September 24 to 27, the country’s biggest health, lifestyle and sexuality expo will be “taking attendees to the steamy underworld of Rio’s red-light district”.
This year’s show is themed “The Rio Interactive”, which means there will be a whole lot more visitor interaction so that visitors are entertained throughout the show, according to Sexpo South Africa publicist Philippa Harvey.
“This year’s show is… vibey, it’s sexy and it’s fun. It gives people the freedom to dress up and enter a fantasy world where they can leave their cares behind. We want to ensure that visiting Sexpo for only one show day this year won’t be enough,” Harvey explained.
Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand will be filled with fantasy shows, cabaret drag shows, exotic comedy and pole-dancing shows. The expo will be teeming with local porn stars, and a peak experience will be an entire adult movie being filmed during the four days.
“We are focused on pushing the boundaries in 2015 and on keeping all sexual orientations bedazzled in sexual anticipation within a party atmosphere. Our goal was simple – create a show with a difference, bringing our fab visitors back for more on every show day,” Harvey added.
Another innovation for the expo will be the first national pole dancing competition from Basic Instinct Studios, a pole dancing and fitness studio.
Those looking to take pictures with and get autographs from their favourite porn star can expect to see Kenna James, Misty Stone, Valentina Nappi and Danica Dillon, as well as local stars Belle, Jill, Candie, Bernie, Bella and Jack Healy from PipeDreams.
One lucky visitor can win a date with one of these porn stars.
“Visitors who enter their ticket number and who are present on Thursday, September 24 for the draw can win a date with one of the local porn stars,” Harvey said.
Tickets start from R150 for students; R280 for general access, which includes VIP access and a goodie bag; and R800 for a ticket that covers all the days of the expo.
