She married her fiancé Eric Johnson on Saturday at San Ysidro Ranch, California, in front of 275 guests.

And now Jessica Simpson has given a sneak peek into her big day in the most recent issue of People magazine.

The 33-year-old star dazzled in a custom-made, champagne and gold embroidered Carolina Herrera gown which se paired with 12-carat diamond drop earrings by Neil Lane.

Her long blonde tresses were styled elegantly with the top layers pinned back to give volume and the rest falling down her back in soft curls.

“Everybody thought I was going to wear a dress that completely showed off my new bod,” Jessica said of the voluminous floor-length gown. “But I can't help but want a princess dress! I'm a Southern girl at heart. I like everything big!”

As well as sharing 27 photos from inside the celebrations, the blonde beauty opened up about her favourite memories.

“It's all about family for us,” Jessica said. So for the ceremony, she asked her mother Tina and her sister Ashlee, to be her maids of honour.

Eric's father Stephen, stepped in as best man, while Ashlee's fiancé, Evan Ross, was one of 11 groomsmen.

However, it was the youngest of the wedding party who stole the show, the couple's two children, two-year-old flower girl Maxwell and one-year-old ring bearer Ace.

Jessica said of her walk down the aisle: “My kids got standing ovations!”

The bride made her entrance to a 18-piece orchestra playing the sweeping score from her “favourite movie of all time” – the 1998 film adaptation of Great Expections. And once guests caught sight of Jessica as she made her way to the alter, there were audible gasps.

“I saw my gorgeous wife coming towards me and she was crying,” remembered Eric: “I think my heart was exploding a little bit.”

The bridegroom looked rather handsome in a custom charcoal gray John Varvatos tuxedo and the pair exchanged traditional vows during a ceremony officiated by Jessica's father Joe.

When it was time to party, the Dukes Of Hazzard star changed into a sparkling blue mini-dress by Zuhair Murad and apparently the revelry carried on well into Sunday morning.

“The whole weekend has been completely magical for us,” she said. “We've really built such a beautiful life, and it just keeps getting better.” – Daily Mail
