Okay, I’m done for the year.
It’s three working days till I go on holiday and if I have to read, or edit, or even think of another story about Christmas I’ll have to be wrapped in paper and sent to the spa at the North Pole.
We’re tempted to ban festive season fluff on the Lifestyle site, but then readers will complain that we are ignoring the season. So we’re trying to strike a balance - some stories about what to buy, some stories about how buying is obscene and some stories that have nothing to do with Christmas at all.
And, weary readers, the madness will continue till Friday... I’m guessing Christmas Eve on Saturday will find us all comatose on the couch.
And then we’ll get up with the kids early on Christmas morning and it will all have been worth it.
At least, that is my wish for us all - even those who are alone, or not Xmas inclined. I really hope that the long hard year behind us has been worth it in life lessons learned and experience accumulated, and that we can put it all to good use next year.
