You may not know it but Pitti Uomo, a menswear trade show in Florence, Italy is a firmly embedded must-stop on the menswear fashion calendar. Pitti Uomo used to be predominantly about classic tailored menswear, and though this still has a strong presence, the fair now puts a stronger impact on streetwear. It is this streetwear style that draws many fashionistas to the trade show.

Our very own fashion people who attended the tradeshows certainly represented African fashion well and brought the melanin to a scorchingly hot Florence. Among those who went was fashion photographers, Trevor Stuurman, Ricardo Marcus Knipe, designer Laduma Ngokolo," A Threaded Man" blogger Siya Beyile and to complete the squad was stylist Kwena Baloyi.
