Each year, thousands descend down to Durban for a weekend for the country’s most anticipated horse racing event. The Greyville Racecourse in which hosts the Durban July, turns into a fashion parade for fashionistas and it is usually about celebrity fashion rather than the horses which attracted the most attention.

Celebrities and the who’s who of South Africa’s upper echelon descended on the lush race course. Here are some of the fashion highlights of Durban July fashion over the past three years, with the theme being The Captain’s Table in 2014, The Big Screen in 2015 which saw celebrities who attended the event wearing their interpretations of Hollywood, Nollywood and Bollywood glamour.
In 2016 the theme was “Leader of the Pack” so anything to do with the joy of playing cards was a go.
