Microblading, new eyebrow craze worth a try

Beauty

Whether you like them arched and feathered or straight, bold or drawn-in, eyebrows are one of the most important facial features we have. If you're not happy with the ones you have and you've tried every pencil, powder, pigment, brow gel, and stencil available and your brows are still off fleek. There's a very natural option that delivers semi-permanent results and it’s called microblading.

Microblading is a relatively new, manual method. It is considered to be a form of cosmetic tattooing with less pain to conventional tattooing. It is different from solid eyebrow tattoos because there is less pigment implanted into the skin and it’s done manually.

It is done using a hand tool which deposits pigments into the top layer of the skin therefore it is considered to be semi-permanent. This gives you a much crisper and defined hairstroke than the conventional machine does, leaving you with a naturally enhanced eyebrow that does not look drawn on.

With this technique it makes it difficult to differentiate between your own eyebrow and the cosmetic tattoo. Making this the most natural way to improve on what you already have. This procedure does not damage or inhibit hair growth in the future. In fact, it is said many clients that suffer from alopecia who get microblanding done see a surge of hair growth right after the procedure, as it stimulates the hair follicles. Lasting for a period of 1 to 2 years, the procedure will set you back from R2000 at beauty salons like Capri Beauty in Cape Town and Browginering in Pretoria.
