Oils that benefit your skin even if it’s already oily...

The prospect of using oil, especially for those with already oily skin, is nerve-racking to say the least. There’s an enduring fear that it will leave you with a greasy complexion and breakouts but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Of course, the right one depends on your skin type but there are many benefits to using face oil. Not only do they mimic the skin’s natural oils and reach deeper than most moisturizers but, massaging them in actually improves circulation resulting in a plumper and more radiant complexion.

Oils aren’t bad for your skin, the very opposite in fact, as it’s been proven that they can help to stabilize and regulate the overproduction of sebum, thus helping to get rid of acne. If you do have oily skin put your fears to rest and try opting for drier oils like jojoba, hazelnut or sesame to start with. People with dry skin on the other hand should use products that contain coconut, almond and shea butter.

This new generation of face oils is worlds away from that image of a shiny face in a bottle you’ve conjured in your head. They’re packed full of anti-ageing benefits, strengthening and will give your skin the proper hydration that it needs. What’s more, these formulas often boast deep, aromatic scents that will leave you feeling relaxed and stress-free. That, coupled with the face that they take some time to settle into the skin, makes them the perfect wonder product to use before bed.
