Many of us cringe when we look back at pictures of our teenage selves.
But most of us won’t be forced to confront our youthful fashion faux pas on national TV.
However, for Nicole Kidman there was no hiding her embarrassment when she was shown this photo of her 15-year-old self on the Graham Norton Show last week. Taken from a 1983 covershoot from Dolly magazine, the picture shows Miss Kidman, now 49, sporting vivid auburn curls and a pair of red cowboy boots.
Commenting on the photo from the Australian magazine, which closes this year, a Miss Kidman said: ‘Everyone thinks my hair is that red but they dyed it that red.’
The Oscar-winner added: ‘I wish my hair was like that now?...?Anyone who has curly hair who is young, keep your curly hair, don’t straighten it – after a while you don’t get your curls back.’
