2016 has been overall a pretty difficult year for most people. So with that being said, we're looking forward to what 2017 entails. We hoping this year brings some positive change and elation. That means there are somethings that should be left behind in the past. Fashion and beauty has no exception to this change as well, for every old trend comes another that leaves us asking why?

Whether they were overplayed or because they never should have been in the first place, to follow are some fashion and beauty trends that we hope should stay behind in 2016:

Oversized chocker

We are all about the choker trend. We hope it never leaves. But there's something way chicer about the thinner chokers rather than the thick statement pieces.

Crazy make-up challenges

Crazy make-up challenges like the #100layerchallenge. Yes, this was mildly amusing when it first came out but honestly, this is a crazy waste of money, resources, and, well, all of our time. It is time for this challenge to die.

We get it, you want people to see your sneakers without having to pinroll your jeans or sweatpants, there are other bottoms out there that will give you the same effect without looking like a seven-year-old.

Let's toast to their ultimate demise in 2017

Fake Yeezys

The demand for YEEZYs, especially the boost 350 model, has far outreached their supply, which is why the bootleg market became substantially saturated in 2016. As illegitimate shoe makers continue to step up their game by creating some of the most realistic-looking YEEZYs on the market, spotting the difference from the real thing has become difficult. But what’s become even more difficult? Not spotting a pair of YEEZYs on the streets, be they fake or legit. Anyone up for a more varied footwear in 2017?

In reality these tend to make women look shapeless and its time we move away from velvet.

Unless you know how to do this properly do not bother because you end up looking like you about to perform in the theatre on stage? This trend has to go because there are too many ladies walking around with a visible layer of powder on their faces.

It's like you walking around dragging an animal on your feet. These shoes are ugly.
