London - The hottest accessory trend right now is monogramming - it’s a chance to get your initials on absolutely everything.

Model-of-the-moment Cara Delevingne led the charge at Burberry Prorsum’s autumn/winter 2014 show when she strutted down the catwalk in a blanket poncho with CJD embroidered into it.

And Jimmy Choo has just begun a made-to-order service, where customers can not only have their initials imprinted on to the inner sole of their heel, but choose the material and even heel height of their shoes.

Of course, it’s not cheap, and is only available at its flagship London store.

But monogramming is also available to the masses. The Cambridge Satchel Company, for example, offer a personalisation service. Customers can have up to four initials stamped on their choice of bag — it’s part of what makes the brand so popular. Founder, Julie Deane, says: “Adding a personal touch means everybody can have a one-off item.”

Personalising jewellery with initials is a trend that doesn’t seem to be going away. Jewellers Thomas Sabo and Azendi offer a line of alphabet charms that can be put on to anything from necklaces to rings.

Over at Anya Hindmarch, bespoke purses, handbags and even stationery can be embossed with little messages such as “I love you”.-
