It’s no secret that ladies LOVE to shop.  Whether we are just popping in for something specific like an outfit for a special event, a bit of pampering or simply to browse.   Canal Walk shopping centre in Century City is the perfect mall to do so.

I recently had the pleasure of spending the day at Canal Walk with some of South Africa’s most influential fashion and beauty bloggers to explore and experience the mall like I’ve never before and to see what the center and its stores has to offer.

One of the first things most of us search for when we get to a mall is the free wifi. Just in case you want to share a picture of those special finds with your girlfriends. So with our wifi connected we hopped into our special shuttle which took us from one store to the other. What better way to get around a mall as big as Canal Walk.

This special outing included all kinds of indulgences us women love most.

A few of the highlights of day included being surrounded by sexy lingerie and served “Sex in the City” style cocktails at La Senza where I discovered a new bra range called “Hello Sugar” which, without any plastic surgery, doubles up your bra cup size. If you’re not sure what your bra size is, their helpful store assistants will gladly measure you to ensure that you’re getting the perfect fit.

A mini makeup tutorials at Bobbi Brown cosmetics included advice on how to select the correct foundation for your skin type and an introduction to their new liquid matte lipstick range.

I often struggle when it comes to picking out a new perfume but the lovely assistants at the Jo Malone perfume store were there to guide us through selecting the perfect perfume.

And what woman doesn't love the sparkle of fine of jewelry? Marios Jewellers was a great store to pop into to not only see what’s new and on trend but to learn a bit about the history of the store.

Another highlight of the day was having the opportunity to chat to style icon Jackie Burger who offered a bit of insight into the current fashion scene.

Now you’re probably thinking that all of these services was only available on the day and for this special outing. Well you will be happy to know that these are services already on offer at these mentioned stores. The little extras I wasn’t even aware of.

The centre has over 400 stores and open from 9am to 9pm with plenty restaurants and coffee shops to take a break during your shopping spree.
