Falling in love with fashion in 1993, it was in an ordinary accounting class that Tlale realised he was destined for greater things that did not involve accountancy, but rather artistic interpretation in the world of fashion. Emerging talent is what excites Tlale the most, when it comes to the fashion platform in South Africa, as well as the evolution of designers and the industry, from the days of Shaka Zulu to today. Technology and politics have played a pivotal role in the life and breath of fashion and South African designers, such as himself, have changed the game on the global frontier, showcasing at New York Fashion Week, thus taking talent beyond South Africa’s borders.
Excited for the next five years in fashion, Tlale believes that South African fashion is changing the continental game, emerging on the international platform, and producing premium brands that the world is watching.
