Women with bigger calves can conceal them with straight-leg trousers.
A loose cut below the widest section of the shin is important, as style consultant Sylvia Ebner explains. This makes the calves look visually less plump.
If you insist on wearing seven-eighths-length pants, the hem of the trouser leg should end at least be below the widest point where the legs begin tapering towards the ankles.
The shape of the upper body also plays a role in what trousers you should wear.

Boyfriend jeans are great if you have narrow hips and bigger calves, says Ebner. Those with a wide waist should go for a straight leg and loose, flowing material.
However if a women's suit is required, Ebner says a knee-length skirt is usually the more prudent option to distract from chunky calves.
