London - From whale-boned corsets to dubious-looking “chicken fillets”, the world has never exactly been short of ways to boost a woman’s cleavage.

But low-maintenance girls may welcome the return of a very straightforward solution – Wonderbra’s Variable Cleavage bra.

The popular product, which was originally launched in 2000, has been reissued for a limited time only.

The adjustable bra is designed so that wearers can give themselves enviable curves in just one touch.

It has a cord between the two cups which, when pulled downwards, draws the two sides of the bra together and creates a push-up effect.

The design allows women to stick to a modest cleavage during the day, then create a more glamorous look in the evening.

Rachel Haddon, 24, a 34B model from West London said: “There’s a noticeable difference in my cleavage as soon as I pull it tighter.

“I could wear it all day, although I’d put it on the lowest setting for daytime. Then, when I go for drinks, I’d pull it tight to give my boobs a good boost.”

The bra, which costs £32 (about R400), is available in sizes 32A to 38DD.

Despite the prevalence of skinny models on the catwalk, bigger busts are becoming increasingly fashionable.

The trend has been fuelled in part by the success of Mad Men, the American TV show set in the 1960s. Its star, Christina Hendricks, is famous for her curves. - Daily Mail
