has always been vocal about the fashion industry having to adapt their

standards when it comes to society’s perception of the ‘ideal model psyche’.

She remains an

inspiration to women with fuller figures and embraces her own curves saying: ”I

felt free once I realized I was never going to fit the narrow mould that

society wanted me to fit in” yet once again she has come under fire for her

voluptuous form.

According to

British Vogue editor-in-chief Alexandra Shulman, some designers refused to

dress Graham, who appears on the front cover of fashion holy grail magazine

simply because she did not meet the standard model size.

‘They were

enthusiastic about dressing a woman who is not a standard model, but sadly

there were other houses that flatly refused to lend us their clothes. It seems

strange to me that while the rest of the world is desperate for fashion to

embrace broader definitions of physical beauty, some of our most famous fashion

brands appear to be travelling in the opposite – and, in my opinion, unwise –

direction, said Shulman.

In an era where millions of

people worship the Kardashian clan who is famous for their rear ends and curves

– how come women with fuller figures are still subjected to this kind of body

shaming?
