Durban - Designer Terrence Bray teamed up with local artist Jeanie Kinsler earlier this year to produce his spring/summer collection for South African Fashion Week.

The designer and his artist friend held an exhibition at the KZNSA recently.

Bray was initially inspired by Kinsler’s work and used her paintings on fabric. Kinsler, in turn – inspired by seeing her work on flowing fabric – created a new body of work.

While her work is widely associated with images of the female form, the human head and still life, this new work further explores the human form fragmented by light, shadow, fabric and movement.

Art inspiring art, if you will.

At the opening of the exhibition, Bray presented 10 highly stylised looks for spring/summer 2012. - The Mercury
