London - You’ve heard of boom and bust. Well, pop star-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham has her own version.
For the past two decades, her bosom has gone from pancake-flat to what she called ‘torpedo bazookas’ and back down, re-inflating again in recent weeks.
In the 20 years since the Spice Girls made ‘Posh’ famous, her bra size has gone from a modest A to an eye-stopping DD. It seems that when the going gets tough she bolsters her confidence by enlarging her bosoms.

1997:
In 1997 with a delightfully pudgy face and no hair extensions, she looked a different person. Most striking of all is her modest bosom, which appears to be a 34A cup. The year before, the Spice Girls’ single Wannabe had reachedNo 1 in 30 countries. All her early dreams of fame had come true.
2003:
Flashy but desperate for attention at the 2003 MTV awards in Los Angeles, Victoria sports that unholy trinity of a fake tan, giant breasts and Disney princess hair extensions which became her signature look.
The Beckhams were both experiencing career crises. Alex Ferguson sold Manchester United player David to Real Madrid this year, saying he had to go because he thought he was bigger than the manager, while Victoria is desperately trying to resuscitate her music career.
2005:
In 2005 -looking like a Marbella Barbie at a fashion party in Monaco in 2005, Victoria had given up on music and wanted to be a designer — but no one took her seriously. Little wonder with those oiled, false bosoms. She had produced a range of jeans and a budget fragrance — cue plenty of sneering in the fashion world.
2004:
Has heartbreak ever looked more alarming? It’s 2004 and gossip over David’s alleged liaison with his PA, Rebecca Loos, is raging — she said they were an item for four months when they were in Madrid and Victoria had stayed in London, trying to sustain her pop career. Victoria responded with a slash of bright red lipstick, blonde highlights — and those ever-more prominent bosoms.
2006:
Victoria goes for the full WAG look for the 2006 World Cup in Baden Baden: tan, shades, enormous hair extensions — and a new pair of even bigger bosoms. Despite the affair gossip, she is sticking with Beckham: their third son, Cruz, was born in Madrid the previous year. She was at last a 34DD — indicating a second breast enhancement as she copes with her marital crisis.
2011:
A very natural silhouette at an event in New York in 2011. She had daughter Harper two months before but still put on her show at New York Fashion Week — bringing baby along. Her career is really flying — with lots of putty-coloured stretch dresses and Beatles caps — and her chest is dramatically down.
2013:
in 2013, David retires from football — and that bosom appears to be on the up again.Two years after the birth of Harper, her unsupported chest in a lingerie and tweed dress at Wimbledon is looking newly perky and full.
Victoria, 42, appears at her most boyish when she’s feeling happier.
