Motivation is the key to keeping your figure this winter! Here are a few tips from Adventure Boot Camp.

1. Motivation is a state of mind that you either decide to have or not. Realising you have the power means you can take back the control at any time.

2. Knowledge is power – arm yourself with information about how your body works and what it needs to properly fuel itself this winter.

3. Indulge in healthy winter comfort foods such as soups, stews and curries made with little or no oil and remember portion size is everything. If you’re exercising less, reduce your portion sizes and vice versa.

4. Keep moving – the more you move the warmer you’ll feel.

5. Keep the sniffles at bay with a moderate, regular exercise regime. Exercise reduces blood pressure and cholesterol, which can lead to heart disease; it reduces the risk of diabetes and even certain forms of cancer.

6. Set a fitness or weight loss goal for next summer! It always helps to have something to work towards.

7. Take advantage of winter specials many fitness programmes offer
