Port Elizabeth - Isuzu is treating its fans to a new special edition KB bakkie that follows a "classic black theme from bumper to bumper."

Available from late September, you can order yours in white, red or metallic silver although your engine choice is limited to Isuzu's 130kW/380Nm 3-litre D-Teq turbodiesel. You do have three drive configuration choices though, these being 4x2 with five-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission or 4x4 with a manual gearbox.

The Midnite Edition's exterior pimping comes in the form of a bespoke black bumper guard and matching grille, and that aforementioned dark colour envelops the 17-inch alloy wheels, side steps, roof rails, mirror caps, sports-style roll bar and rear bumper. Got a matching boat or caravan? A tow bar is standard on the Midnight Edition.

GMSA will build just 500 of these and to remind you of its uniqueness, each bakkie will have a special plaque with its production number engraved on it.

The company hasn't mentioned any major interior changes, besides special Midnite Edition carpets, and the price still remains a mystery although you'd probably be looking at a small premium over the normal 3.0 D-Teq double cab models, which cost between R471 300 and R473 400.
