Well known rally 'hoonigan' Ken Block lives in the mountainous region of Park City, a place where playtime usually involves tons of snow.

So Block and his Hoonigan Racing Division have created a behemoth of a tool for tackling the white stuff, and one that will come in particularly handy for a snowboarding video that he and some pals plan to film later this year.

Being based on the Ford Racing-prepared F-150 Raptor pickup truck, it already has the muscle to tackle any task, with grunt coming from a supercharged 6.2-litre V8.

Besides the mattracks (or snow shoes, if you will), this F-150 Raptor has been kitted out with a full roll cage, Recaro seats, racing snowboard racks, a roof basket, rear-mounted winch, special lighting from Rigid Industries and, as you would expect, an exterior audio system for blasting the tunes on-site.

Block is clearly chuffed with his new high-powered snowmobile: "It's an absolute beast of a machine and I'm stoked with how it's turned out. Next up is for me to take it deep into the backcountry ASAP."

Hoonigan Racing says we'll see the RaptorTrax in action on video later this year when the aforementioned snowboarding film hits the scene.
