The Range Rover Sport Red Limited Edition adds extra distinction to the already autocratic 5.0 HSE Supercharger model, with four special paint colours, a special red fender vent logo bar, 20” alloy rims, and special interior trim featuring a new carbon-fibre veneer.

The Red Rangie is available on red (naturally!), metallic grey, white and black, each with a black mesh grille with satin-chrome bezel and black trim.

Bonnet badges and tailgate trim are bright chrome, while the 'Sport' badge on the tailgate is bright red, and each fender vent has a red logo bar across a black grille, with a bright chrome surround.

Red-painted Brembo brake callipers behind special 20” alloy rims add the finishing touch to an unmistakably different Range Rover Sport.

Global Brand director John Edwards didn't mince words.

“The striking exterior and interior treatments, unique alloy wheels and beautiful upholstery detailing will appeal to customers for whom exclusivity is important,” he said.

The interior is finished in black leather with trim elements in a new, glossy carbon-fibre veneer rather than the traditional wood or piano black finish.

Seat inserts can be chosen in Red, blue, grey or black with contrasting stitching. The Sport logo is embossed on the head restraints and embroidered in red on the floor mats.

NUTS AND BOLTS

Mechanically the Range Rover Sport Red Limited Edition is as per the standard HSE, with a five-litre, 375kW/625Nm supercharged LR-V8 and ZF HP28 six-speed automatic gearbox, driving through an e_Terrain all-wheel drive transmission, making it one of the most capable off-road vehicles on the planet, although we suspect the nearest most Red Rangies will come to going off-road will be the gravel car-park at the football field.

Pricing starts at R1 103 400.
