Johannesburg - This year's Amid Motorcycle and Quad Lifestyle Expo, to be hosted by the Association of Motorcycle Importers and Distributors at Nasrec’s Johannesburg Expo Centre on 8,9 and 10 August, promises to be the biggest and most diverse yet.

Every major manufacturer will have a presence and visitors will be able to get up close and personal not only with almost every current model on the market but also some very special new models and one extremely special visitor from a certain Italian MotoGP star's team.

STAGE AREA

There will be competitions, giveaways, test rides to be booked, accessories to be bought, stars of racing to be photographed with, even racing, including a Womza National Supermoto round, to be watched outside the hall, as well as a Show and Shine and Concours D’Elegance competition over the course of the weekend to find the best custom and classic bikes.

Inside the hall there will again be a stage area hosted by Mat Durrans and Harry Fisher from The Bike Show, presenting a variety of entertainment, such as interviews, new bike reveals, news announcements, quizzes, competitions and the announcement of the winner of the Pirelli SA Bike of the Year.

WHERE, WHEN, HOW MUCH?

The Amid Motorcycle Expo, incorporating the Johannesburg Boat Show and Ou, will run from 8-10 August at Nasre; it will be open from 9am to 6pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 9am to 5pm on Sunday.

Entrance will cost R80 for adults,and R40 for children between 12 and 16 years; Children under 12 will get in free.
