Ford has announced an updated version of its iconic Mustang car inspired by the classic Steve McQueen film "Bullitt" at the LA auto show.
7700 of the "Bullitt" special editon (a small number by US standards) will be made for sale in North America only in 2008, 40 years after the Mustang GT Fastback was immortalised by McQueen in the movie.
Ford said the car would have a 235kW, 4.6-litre V8 engine, and would be available in the same dark green as McQueen's car in the film, which became famous for its hair-raising car chase through the streets of San Francisco. - AFP
