Mugello, Italy  – Italian teenager Romano Fenati, on a KTM, won the Moto3 category at the Italian GP on Sunday, the sixth leg of the season.

Fenati clocked 39min 46.256sec to finish just 0.01sec ahead of Isaac Vinales (KTM), who himself beat Spanish compatriot Alex Rins (Honda) by virtue of a faster best lap as they crossed the line together.

A last-lap crash between championship leader Jack Miller (KTM), Alex Marquez (Honda)and Enea Bastianini (KTM) saw them all miss out on the points, with Miller’s lead in the overall standings cut to just five points from Fenati.
