MotoGP will have three races in the United States on its 2013 calendar after championship organisers Dorna announced that the Austin circuit in Texas will host a race on April 21.
Like the United States Grand Prix at Laguna Seca in Monterey, California, the date will feature only a MotoGP category race.
It will give Ben Spies a chance to shine in front of his fellow Texans in his first season on a Ducati after moving from Yamaha.
The third of the American races, the Indianapolis Grand Prix, will involve all three categories - MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3.
In all, 19 Grands Prix are scheduled for next year, including a return to Argentina. - AFP
