Only a couple of months after the official launch of the new BMW 3 Series, Aachen-based tuning haus AC Schnitzer are ready with engine and suspension upgrades, special wheels and some very tasty car-bling for your new F30.

Tuning kits for the 318d and 320d turbodiesels - already on the shelves - boost their output to 126kW and 160kW respectively, while the upgrades for the petrol-powered 328i and 335i - currently in the final stages of development - are quoted at 216kW and 265kW respectively.

That's with the mellow but authoritative Schnitzer sports rear silencer with one or two chromed 'Racing' tailpipes - which even Schitzer concedes are purely cosmetic, but they do look smart.

BICOLOUR RIMS

Schnitzer recommends that its suspension kit for the F30 - including shorter, stiffer springs and upgraded dampers - be fitted in conjunction with Type IV rims in bicolour and silver, Type VI or the new Type VIII, lacquered silver with bright turned aluminium accents in 18, 19 or 20” diameter, with suitably low-profile rubber.

The Aachen aero kit includes a special front splitter, chromed grille, a diffuser-style rear skirt extension, a roof spoiler and a neat boot-lid spoiler; they'll also bling up the interior of your F30 with 'Black Line' aluminium hand-brake lever, iDrive cover and gear-lever knob, aluminium pedals, velour footrest and floor mats.
