Cruze hatchback is distinguished by a coupe-like sweeping roofline
GMSA has confirmed that the hatchback version of its Cruze, first shown to the world at the Geneva Motor Show a year ago, will be launched in South Africa during the second half of this year.
No specification or pricing details have been divulged yet, but it should largely mirror the sedan - which offers the choice between 80kW 1.6 and 104kW 1.8-litre petrols and a 110kW 2-litre turbodiesel.
Going head-to-head with hatchbacks like the Ford Focus, Peugeot 308 and Hyundai i30, the Cruze hatchback is distinguished by a coupe-like sweeping roofline, while the front end remains identical to that of the saloon.
It's also relatively practical, with 400 litres of boot space on offer.

I've seen official pictures of the station wagon. And the station wagon looks even better than the hatch. It's a beautiful design and in my opinion Chevrolet did an excellent job with the Cruze. No wonder is selling so well worldwide. Well done Chevrolet!!
