Sadly, the new leaked photos flying around the cybergarage of the Honda/Acura (depending on where you live) NSX sports coupé are not the production model, but an updated concept version for the Detroit motor show.

The latest version stays close to the exterior styling of the original, but has a new interior treatment that emphasises good visibility (a failing of many sports cars), a 'strong' driving position that allows to driver to reach all the controls and operate them without awkwardness, and an intuitive 'simple sports interface' - a virtual instrument panel that shows the most vital information on a 'need to know' basis.

When the NSX does go into production in 2015 - at a new plant to be built in central Ohio - it will have a mid-mounted, direct-injection V-6 petrol engine, driving the rear wheels through a dual-clutch transmission with a built-in, large-diameter electric motor, and two more electric motors independently driving the front wheels.
