Nissan's run of attention-grabbing concepts shows no signs of slowing down, with this one - the simply but descriptively named Sports Sedan concept, due to make its world debut at the Detroit motor snow, now less than two weeks away, alongside the Idx Freeflow and Idx Nismo concepts, which raised eyebrows at the recent Tokyo show.

NEXT-GENERATION DESIGN CUES

The Sport Sedan concept, says Nissan, previews a new design direction that focuses on the Nissan tradition of applying sports-car principles to its sedans and embodies next-generation Nissan design signatures , offering us an advanced look at a future production sports sedan.

Could this show car, with it's distinctive arrowhead-shaped headlight clusters and deeply V-ed bonnet sporting NACA air intakes and blacked-out A pillars, be our first glimpse of the next-generation Maxima? We'll find out when the Sports Sedan concept is officially unveiled on Monday January 13.
